Vancouver Translink 2007 Novabus LFS - V9687
Here is my first video of a Novabus LFS operated by VTC on route 100 22nd Street Station. Here is your opportunity to ride a bus with the new stop announcement system. The new stop announcement system is where the cowbell sound you normally hear before a stop is announced is now replaced by the speaker saying "Next Stop". For example, for bus stop Cambie St at W Broadway, you would normally hear "cowbell sound, Cambie St at West Broadway", but the new announcement system is "Next stop: Cambie St at West Broadway". This video will take you from Marine Drive Station to 22nd Street Station. This video was recorded on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 on the 3:35pm departure from Marine Drive Station Bay 1. 2007 Novabus LFS Engine: Cummins ISL 280 horsepower Transmission: ZF 6HP554C 6 speed Destination sign: Axion Technologies Orange LED

Furthermore, our growing understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory, two pillars of the 20th century, has continued to transform our society and the modern world. Uniting the two gives rise to exciting new possibilities: quantum information technologies. These promise to fundamentally change the way we manipulate, store, and transmit information and could revolutionize global communications. Quantum communication is quickly moving from the blackboard to experimental proof of principle and technological innovation. Such quantum information technologies open the door to new applications impossible to achieve in today's world. Many researchers are developing the technologies to connect different places worldwide through satellite quantum communication and ...

Max Payne 3 - "Design and Technology"-Series (2) - Targeting and Weapons
The second part of Rockstar Games' "design and technology" series deals in depth with Max's weapons, the target mechanics and tactical maneuvers and explain how these systems together to create a truly seamless and believable experience. Further developments of technologies in the fields of physics and animation succeeds Rockstar studios, the precise target mechanism to implement a first-person shooter, while maintaining the intense identification with the protagonist and narrative elements that are characteristic of a third-person game. In addition, this technology just gives Max 'actions and reactions of a higher sense of realism by allowing the character itself naturally to the position of the crosshairs on the screen to adjust, even when he lies on the floor. Thanks to this innovative gameplay, players will receive at all times full control over Max's movements and actions, coupled with a fluid and precise target mechanism. New Media & Vancouver Stanley Cup Riot 2011
Final Group Video Project CMNS 253W Summer '11 This video illustrates the far-ranging impacts mobile technology and social media have in urban spaces in this digital age. The events which this video is primarily anchored in reflect the Vancouver 2011 riots which surfaced shortly after the Canucks' loss to the Boston Bruins during the Stanley Cup finals in June earlier this year. Public surveillance, mobile reporting and acts of social justice resulted from these events due to the enabling technologies of mobile and social media. This video is a compilation of various event footage and other media taken both during and after the riots. We do not take credit for them.
